Receive Jesus Christ as Lord,
Continue to walk with Him;
And to be in one accord,
So you will never be grim.
Rooted and built up in Him,
And in the faith established;
Filling with spiritual vim,
Through the Word that was published.
Merely as you had been taught,
Abounding in thanksgiving;
That salvation has been sought,
The style you are living.
Mind lest any man spoil,
That no one takes you captive;
Promising free from toil,
A lifestyle that you live.
A doctrine of vain deceit.
And not according to Christ;
But considered incomplete,
Allowing to be enticed.
The fullness the Godhead dwells,
In which that you have been filled;
Its doctrine that God compels,
Authority that instilled.
As circumcised without hands,
Buy putting of the body;
Circumcision by commands,
Not thought as cheap of shoddy.
In baptism been buried,
Faith raises up from the dead;
No longer to be worried,
Left behind on the death bed.
You were dead in trespasses,
Your flesh was uncircumcised;
Alive in Christ outclasses,
That someone criticizes.
Confession brings forgiveness,
In cancelling any debt;
Resisting addictiveness,
And other things you regret.
Demands He has set aside,
By nailing it to the cross;
Triumphing as you abide,
Your open shame as a loss
