'' I Know ''
Am I going to die?
Is the question we ask,
In this, our journey called living,
If a god we deny,
Will he take us to task?
Could a deity be so unforgiving?
Though it is tough,
Life comes in stages,
A beginning a middle and an end,
Take the good with the rough,
As the body ages,
Life's good, if on faith you depend.
Bad words spoken,
Actions we've taken,
Are events where we need to take care,
Hearts left broken,
Those we've forsaken,
Of consequences we must be aware.
Showing love and respect,
Choosing truth over lies,
Will determine how you are defined,
With those you connect,
Common sense applies,
To problems don't ever be blind.
How you've behaved,
Determines your fate,
The criteria to reach Heaven is broad,
Everyone is saved,
Some early some late,
One day, we all meet up with God.
Don't ever fear death,
It is not an unknown,
It's but one more step on your travels,
It is not your last breath,
The truth will be shown,
As the mystery of life unravels.
No-one's ever came back,
I hear some say,
Reality is what they fear,
Of proof there's a lack?
It's yourself you betray,
In spirit and in mind we're still here.
As your time draws near,
Don't be afraid,
The next stage won't come as a blow,
Do not feel fear,
This you wouldn't trade,
The reason my friend is,
' I Know '
