Deal bountiful with your servant,
That you may live and keep His Word;
Abide in the love to fervent,
Adhering to what you have heard.
Keep the Word so that you may live,
Open your eyes unto the Law;
For God is willing to forgive,
Whenever you might start to flaw.
Open your eyes as to behold,
The wondrous things out of His Law;
Watch carefully it will unfold,
Listen carefully for His call.
For we are strangers on this earth,
Hide not His commandments from me;
Though sojourners since our birth,
We wait for our Lord to see.
My soul is consumed with longing,
For His commandments all the time;
The sense of our belonging,
Whence we will be making the climb.
He rebukes the brassy and proud,
Who are cursed and have strayed away;
In Heaven they are disallowed,
From His commands they disobey.
Take away the scorn and contempt,
While keeping testimonies;
If confessed the Lord will exempt,
And guarantee patrimonies.
Even though princes sit and speak,
While plotting against the Lord;
You meditate statutes to seek,
For anything they have ignored.
The testimonies a delight,
They are counselors and mentors;
Able for guiding what is right,
Avoiding any tormentors.
