 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
O Lord, you search and have known me,
You know when I sit, and I rise;
My thoughts know what I hear and see,
Giving wisdom to make me wise.

You search out my directed path,
And acquainted with all my ways;
Ensured me how to spare the wrath,
Detouring from a path that strays.

Before a word is on my tongue,
You already know altogether;
Guiding me on what will be flung,
With those that where I would gather.

You hem me behind and before,
As You lay Your hand upon me;
Blessing me with oil to pour,
For spiritual knowledge to see.

Such knowledge is too wonderful,
It is too high to attain it;
As His strength is so powerful,
Exceeding all of my merit.

Where should I go from Your Spirit,
Where can I flee from Your presence;
For I am getting desperate,
Hiding my humbled importance.

If I ascend up to Heaven,
You will already be up there;
If in hell hide in the oven,
You will be already aware.

If I take the wings in morning,
Fly to far-off parts of the sea;
You will be there without warning,
For You will be waiting for me.

Even out there Your hand shall lead,
As Your right hand holds on to me;
Guiding me to help me succeed,
Giving me the insight to see.

Surely the darkness shall cover,
Light shall illuminate the night;
A muse from the moon shall hover,
Because the darkness is as light.

Even the darkness is not dark,
The night is as bright as the day;
For guiding you where you embark,
As you trust the Lord and obey.
