 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Who has believed what they have heard,
To whom has the arm of the Lord;
What has been professed in the Word,
And remaining in one accord.

For He grew up like a young plant,
And like a root out of dry ground;
Having no majesty to grant,
Beauty to desire be found.

He was despised and rejected,
Sorrows as acquainted with grief;
Because they have been infected,
By wicked immoral belief.

He has borne the griefs and sorrows,
Yet still stricken and afflicted;
He will give brighter tomorrows,
Who He pardons if convicted.

He was wounded for transgression,
Crushed for our iniquity;
That He removes when confession,
Gives up the immorality.

We are like sheep have gone astray,
As we are walking in the dark;
Everyone turned his own way,
Wandering where we will embark.

He was oppressed and afflicted,
Yet He left His lips to be sealed;
But He remains unrestricted,
Only the Father has revealed.

Like the lamb led to slaughter,
And has kept silent like the sheep;
Led to baptismal water,
Be awaken from our sleep.

Through the judgment and oppression,
By authority and power;
Stricken for our transgression,
And had died in the darkest hour.

On His death taken to a grave,
Though no violence or deceit;
But opportunity to save,
That the devil He did defeat.
