Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

The landscape has changed

When the dark clouds have settled and the landscape has changed
When so many loved ones we once knew have now gone
When the new day at daybreak will be a new day forever
Where will we all fit and belong?
For the division in man is now greater than ever
All our dark secrets aired to the world
Our prejudices, our hates our contempt for each other
Each waiting in line to unfold.
Morality has declined in our quest for perfection
Believing in our own rights for life's thrills
Big men get bigger amounting their fortunes
Cause they always get the best deals.
The world was always supposed to get better?
Surely as we learned then mankind would to?
But everything is worse and our planet is dying
And at this rate then mankind is through!
Where do we look to for our inspirations…?
Our leaders have proved they can’t lead
Their motivation is clear, self interest is paramount
And what motivates them most is pure greed.
Our world needs more than just a few individuals
To shout out about the future to come..???
It needs us all, the base for humanity
Before all we ever knew is undone.
