The Guardians At The Gate ~ The Veteran
The Guardians At The Gate
The Veteran
We owe so much
To those who serve
With hearts of love
And steel for nerves
They stand the front line
So tall and proud
Across land and sea
And thru the clouds
Their families left behind
With a tear escaping the eye
Please stay safe.. Return to us
Is their heartfelt cry
No comforts of home
No warm bed at night
They freely accept the duty
Whatever be the plight
There are those lovingly covered
By only a flag upon return
For them our hearts
Will forever burn
So I humbly say THANK YOU
For all who do and have served
Our highest respect and love
Is so richly deserved
They serve our country
Whatever be their fate
God bless them all
Our Guardians At The Gate
It takes a Hero
Hallelujah

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
