 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Vanity of vanities,
Everything is futile;
Because of inanities,
Of existing evil.

What do you gain from toil,
You toil under the sun;
And plowing up the soil,
Until the whole day is done.

Generations come and go,
But the earth stays forever;
Only God will ever know,
When life on earth will sever.

 The sun rises and goes down,
Hastens to where it rises;
A smile turns to a frown,
What the day surmises.

The wind blows down to the south,
And goes around to the north;
As the Lord opens His mouth,
Blowing that it will go forth.

All streams running to the sea,
But the sea will not be filled;
While the fish swimming free,
A fisherman is instilled.

All things are full of labor,
As things filled with weariness;
Competing with a neighbor,
Only will bring its dreariness.

The eye is not satisfied,
Nor the ear filled with hearing;
Because of not justified,
To a faith not revering.

What has been is what will be,
What has been done is what done;
No matter if what we can see,
Nothing new under the sun.

No remembrance from the past,
Nor remembrance what shall be;
Only God will ever last,
In the future we will see.
