FORCED SACRIFICE
~FORCED SACRIFICE~
A Metaphoric poem
Insulated in a glass bulb,
resisting the flow of electrons,
the tungsten filament is
white hot emitting light.
So pleasant bright light
cutting the darkness,
making our lives bright
is a forced sacrifice.
The filament is forced
in burning white-hot
and giving us the light
until it is burnt out.
