Submit yourself to human laws,
Their ordinance for the Lord’s sake;
Whether for king or queen because,
No matter what may be at stake.
Unto them that are sent by God,
To punish those who has done evil;
Praising good who honor and laud,
As they admonish the devil.
Because this is the will of God,
That in which you are doing good;
Silence the ignorance as flawed,
Foolish people that never could.
Live as the people who are free,
Use not freedom as a secrecy;
For the evil that you would see,
To abide in God’s policy.
Always honor everyone,
Showing love in the brotherhood;
Fear the Father also the Son,
Honor the ruler as you should.
Be subject showing your respect,
To your masters not just the good;
Also the unjust not reject,
Doing as instructed you should.
It is thankworthy and gracious,
Mindful of God endure sorrow;
The suffering is so precious,
Christ will buffer for tomorrow.
What credit you sin for your guilt,
Endure suffering and confess;
Repentance is what will be built,
That the grace of the Lord will bless.
Because Christ had suffered for us,
Leaving you as an example;
That you might follow Him as thus,
As you are preaching the Gospel.
Because you were straying like sheep,
But you have returned to the flock;
The Shepherd comforts you to sleep,
Abiding when He comes to talk.
