UNDECIDED

inertia is
the opposite of urgency
I'm ticked in
to my apathy

its the word I choose
to use to describe
the ennui
that has become me

I'm tapped out
my root severed from the whole

I'm now the Classic under-achievement
my transcript
has black holes,
gaps deliberately left open

the echo-centrality of me
has been modified
if I were a canyon
there would be no corresponding voice

the choices
I've made
are now blank on my shortened resume
I've abandoned the course
given up the ghost
long dropped the lease with the holy host...

but hey
I'm not ether yet
and I've placed uncompromising bets
that I'm not hedging

I'm great at the bluff

I'm the rough
in the spot you haven't seen
in the place
in the in-between
the shadow in the boxer
that's gone black

you think I've left
but part of me is back
even though
I'm pretty much
undecided

this is all the evidence
of me that
is left
and that will be provided

I hope your brain
doth comprehend
that's the only way
your understanding will
be guided.
