Listen to me in silence, Let people renew strength; And judged for compliance, Speaking unto at length. Who stirred up from the east, A victor meets each step; As He tramples the beast, The king who is a schlepp. He makes dust with His sword, Driven chaff with His bow; For they ignore the Lord, Thoughts in mind He does know. Passed safely He pursues, Paths His feet have not trod; Because that He construes, About whom is their god. Who has performed and done, Calls generations from start; That the Lord is the one, First and last in your heart. For the coastlands have seen, The ends of the earth shakes; Time draws near that has been, To redo what He makes. Each one helps his neighbor, Be strong to his brother; Assists in the labor, Patience with each other. A servant who He chose, The offspring of His friend; Because all that he knows, Is loyal to the end. From the ends of the earth, From its farthest corners; Having such priceless worth, For being sojourners. Fear not God is with you, So never be dismayed; He is loyal and true, His righteousness displayed. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
