Red.

The sunset arrives in a blaze of red glory
Then comes the daybreak to tell a new story
Spans into pinks into yellows and blues
Red is the colour that other colours use.

Without red imagine how dull life would be
So many colours would be lost you see.
Red when diluted makes delicate pink
No artist could paint well without it I think.

Mix it with blue and purple is made
Lighten with yellow to make orange shades.
Red is the colour of Calverys` might
Yet red can be seen as a wonderful sight.

The red of a fire, or life-giving blood.
Red is the centre, it is understood.
The sunset, the sunrise just would not exist
That is the reason that I must insist

That red is the colour which beats all the rest.
It`s glowing, it`s homely, it`s simply, the best.
