After all said and all been done
Life is never about only one
I made my choices long ago
And swore to love moon and sun
Done that best I could to this day
Never been so spoilt true it's so
Taken care of come what may
The one I've in life come to know
It works both ways in life a test
All any can do anytime their best
To rise above the marriage crest
Be a good guy with love and zest
If I could change her in life as well
It's just called life one life one bell
Nobody owns another thought I'd say
We create our own heaven own hell
I'm doing well at my now seventy eight
I have a home a fence and my own gate
Only here to learn as all souls in life do
No going back to wipe chalk from slate
Along with virus's wars religions name it
All humans have brains weve all been told
Been the same since days of very oldest old
To hell with new ideas stick with the coal
Enough down there to last to use as well
Climate change a political all new game
No changing direction in mid stream too
All down there like it or not still the same
And same in life marriage as well included
The old ways were not there to just impress
Men wear long trousers have done since when
Women more suited old thinking in a dress
I'm spoilt as a kid still she sees to that it's true
I hear a voice whisper lifes not all about you
A voice I guess I should as well listen too
Marriages a contract not of late out of the blue
And as it is it's another test to in life yet pass
Women though have what a man does need
I guess I have a few things yet to get around
No hurry in life no rush and no real speed
So reflecting on my own complaints in life
If I quit doing that there will be less strife
Thanks to one soul I love and I do know
