On a bend a fork in the river flowing
Towards the ocean not all that far away
Is the best place for fishing turning tide
Very early or late sundown time of day
Fresh water fat worms salt use sqid best
Watching for fin ripples near the top
Cast in front no sinkers bate weight
To good fish breakfast The best spot
When the tug comes hook it on light line
Have a big bucket handy close by near
Clean at home scaling there as well
A few nice fish all yours ever so dear
Add some lemon but fridge not freezer
Freezing ruins all the nicest ever taste
If you love fishing as I myself always did
Bin all the what ever leftover waste
Small fish swim deeper bigger fish high
Big fish looking for inects higher still
No going home empty handed likely
All adding to the fishing and to the thrill
No noise at all quiets the only ever way
Leave the kids at home balls and stone
Better off just you yourself your gear
Enjoy a pipe a smoke sit back alone
It's all a fisher man's meditation and
A love for fisher men to all thus enjoy
