Innocent Ignorance Part II

For those who make it to Main Streets end,
Are sure to keep paying close attention,
Different dangers are about to begin,
For the city's best has a country friend.

Down by the river, it has claimed the land,
The perfect place to execute the perfect plan,
No one is quite certain of what is at hand,
Though, proof lay right before them in the sand,
Shoes were removed and bare footprints began,
Headed to where the river's murky water ran,
Masking the prints, that were now more reptilian,
Kind of a creature, kind of a man,
Echoes of an eerie locust's song began,
Signaling the proportions of what it would demand,
And, bring for us a day of final judgement on man.
