Looking Through My Life's Window Before I Go
Looking Through My Life's Window
Before I Go
Lord
I come to you on bended knee
With a heavy heart
I ask of Thee
While my days are short
And the suffering will not be mine
My children and those of theirs
I beg of Thee so divine
The America that I dearly love
I fear will never be the same
The life I have known
From which I came
Our freedoms are threatened
There is now such a presence of Evil
There is nowhere else to turn
To calm this current upheaval
My life is at it's end
My seeds I did sow
But for all our children
They still have far to go
I was supposed to
Leave them a better place
But no matter how hard I've tried
Will they ever know the same grace
It pains me so
To leave them a country so sad
My responsibility as a parent
I feel I failed so bad
Please grant me peace
By allowing them to know
The same Amazing Grace
Before I go….

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
