Put on as the chosen ones, Having compassionate hearts; Patient daughters and sons, Humbled kindness that imparts. Bearing with one another, While you trust and obey; And forgiving each other, When you may have gone astray. Above all these put on love, Which binds it all together; Perfect harmony thereof, Worshipping as you gather. Let the peace of Christ rule hearts, For you have been called indeed; In one body that thwarts, Any of your earthly needs. Let the Word of Christ dwell in, Teaching you in all wisdom; Avoiding the earthly sin, That blocks you from His Kingdom. Sing spiritual songs of praise, With thankfulness in your heart; Singing with heavenly ways, That temptation will depart. Whatsoever that you do, Spoken in word or in deed; In the name of Christ be true, Thank the Lord filling your need. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
