Wives must submit to their man, As in fitting in the Lord; Fitting to God and His plan, Companionship not ignored. A husband must love his wife, Never to be harsh on her; Keep with the rest of his life, Regardless what may occur. Children obey their parents, This is pleasing to the Lord; Go to them for the guidance, Show they are loved and adored. Fathers not provoke your child, Lest they will be discouraged; To rebel and be wild, Their morals will be ravaged. Servants obey in all things, Those who are earthly masters; Because the reward it brings, Rescuing from disasters. Not by way of eye-service, But having a sincere heart; Fearing the Lord who will bless, As your mind that will impart. Work heartily all you do, For the Lord and not for men; Remaining faithful and true, As you maintain discipline. For knowing that from the Lord, You have an inheritance; Given a special reward, Through continued diligence. You are serving the Lord Christ, Wrongdoers will be paid back; For evil they are enticed, For the respect that they lack. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
