thanksgiving

In the autumn air, a feast unfurls,
As Thanksgiving day arrives and swirls,
A time for loved ones to come together,
In grateful hearts, they shall endeavor.

The table set with care and grace,
With turkey roasted to embrace,
The savory scents that fill the air,
A bounty of food, beyond compare.

The family gathers, laughter rings,
As gratitude in each heart springs,
For blessings shared, both big and small,
In unity, they give thanks to all.

The children's eyes shine with delight,
As they indulge in sweet delight,
Pumpkin pies and cranberry sauce,
Creating memories, never lost.

The toasts are made, glasses raised,
To loved ones gone, but not erased,
Their spirits join the celebration,
Adding warmth and affirmation.

Stories shared, moments recalled,
As gratitude is now enthralled,
For health, for love, for friendships true,
Thanksgiving's spirit shines on through.

So let us gather, hand in hand,
And embrace this holiday so grand,
With grateful hearts, we give our praise,
On this treasured Thanksgiving day.
