I write these things to you, Who believes in the Son; Eternal life is true, Salvation has begun. This is the confidence, We are having toward Him; Tasking in accordance, Giving spiritual vim. According to His will, He hears us what we plea; Willingness to instill, To those on bended knee. Someone committing sin, If not leading to death; Ask the Lord to begin, For life after last breath. All wrongdoing is sin, But death is not in all; Not having discipline, In avoiding the fall. If someone born of God, Does not keep on sinning; His Spirit cleans where flawed, Salvation is winning. Satan can never touch, For God is protecting; For the love insomuch, He is not neglecting. We know we are from God, The world lies in evil; Causing you to be flawed, Darkness from the devil. The Son of God we know, Gave us understanding; The true God that will show, Of what is commanding. He gives eternal life. Since we know Him as true; False idols will cause strife, Confusion to construe. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
