The Backyard Of My Life
Brown Eyed Girl Of Black Water Bay
Leave a light on for me to find my way
Brown eyed girl of black water bay
I've walked a ragged mile in the dirty driving rain
Carrying a silver cross on a golden chain
Praying for pastures of plenty somewhere soft and warm
A lucky break someone to give me shelter from the electrical storm
Down in the valley where leprechauns play
I found a four leaf clover
Across the lake on black water bay
She was fishing for a rainbow radiant in color
Desperately seeking something new to discover
Trying to take photographs of a million magic moments
Tying together all the classic components
Bringing back beauty to a world made of stone
Leaning on a lamppost standing on her own
Hoping to catch a shooting star
She said they seem so close but yet so far
So roll over red rover at the end of the day
For the brown eyed girl of black water bay
Love only grows if its on the vine
Sweet angel baby mother divine
Calls me up the spiral staircase
Never spoke a word with that look on her face
Shes so full of wisdom a mystical child
Without any doubt she was born to be wild
Shes got such an abstract insight on the edge of vision
Takes what she wants without any permission
Prophet of primrose eternal flame
Precious and gentle she'll always remain
Don't hold her back or stand in her way
The brown eyed girl of black water bay
If love is the law then give it away
To the brown eyed girl of black water bay
Shes a painter an artist the sensitive kind
With her invisible touch she'll blow your mind
Fighting for the underdog unfortunate ones
trying to put right all of societies wrongs
Always dreaming of a brighter better tomorrow
Refusing to beg steal or borrow
Protesting for peace come what may
Safe in the hands of the brown eyed girl of black water bay
