Think not of fiery trials, Which fall upon you being strange; They test if someone defiles, To see from righteousness they change. Rejoice insofar that you share, That suffering that Christ revealed; Compassionate glory to bear, The abundant gladness you yield. If insulted about His name, Blessed be you for His Spirit; For the glory that you proclaim, God rests on you for your merit. None of you suffer as a thief, Murderer or evildoer; Confession will give you relief, To be a righteous pursuer. As a Christian if you suffer, Please do not ever be ashamed; Christ is there to be your buffer, Glorified when being acclaimed. Because of judgment it is time, To begin in the house of God; Everyone answer for their crime, Each incident of being flawed. What shall be the outcome of them, The Gospel that they disobey; The Father assures to condemn, For the reasons that they would stray. If the righteous is scarcely saved, What will become of the sinner; The ungodly have been enslaved, Wrath shown by the discipliner. Who suffers to the will of God, Also entrusts Him with their soul; To faithfully honor and laud, Allows Him to be in control. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
