The Christmas Grinch
The Christmas Grinch
Well I sit here thinking
How can it possibly be
To gather my family
For Christmas, each he and she
Some are here in Virginia
Not too far away
The rest are in Florida
I fear I will be alone this Day
I think and think
Oh what can I do
I would make it happen
If only I knew
If just a physical presence
Of each were here
But sadly its too late
For that I fear
Oh wait! I know!
The Grinch I'll be
And take a ball
From each Christmas tree
I'll bring them back
And lovingly place on my tree
I will have each one here
For my Christmas you see.
So I put on my green suit
And they wont know it's me
I will sneak in each house
And get just one ball for me
Surely they won't
Miss just one
And I will return it
When Christmas is done
It will give me the presence
Of the many years past
When family gathered
I truly thought that would last
I will always remember the Christmas
When I was in a pinch
And for my family's presence
I played The Christmas Grinch.

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
