I thank Him who gave me strength, Because He judged me faithful; Appointing at a great length, To serve for I am grateful. For I was a blasphemer, Persecutor and opponent; Mercy through a Redeemer, Making me a proponent. For ignorant unbelief, But His grace has overflowed; With faith had given relief, Love of His glory has glowed. The saying is trustworthy, Deserves full acceptance; Of something He would decree, No more with resistance. Jesus came to save sinners, With mercy for this reason; New life as the beginners, Believing what has been done. Unto the eternal King, The immortal and wise God; The glory that we will sing, Praising to honor and laud. I am entrusting with you, To commit to prophecy; The wage of warfare is true, For the Christian legacy. Holding trust and good conscience, Rejects faith that is shipwrecked; When having love and patience, Belief that God will resurrect. I have given to Satan, Some to learn not to blaspheme; That their thinking will straighten, So that the Lord will redeem. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
