Your Word firmly-fixed in Heaven, Forever and ever, O Lord; The wonderfulness has given, And settled in one accord. Your faithfulness endures to all, Generations that lives on earth; As established hearing You call, It stands fast, abiding Your worth. By appointment they stand this day, For Your servants and for all things; Your ordinances I obey, Because of the goodness it brings. If Your Law as not my delight, I would perish with affliction; And never having the insight, From an immoral addiction. I will not forget Your precepts, For by them You have given life; Before the devil intercepts, That would be causing so much strife. I am Yours, pleading that You save, For I have sought in Your teaching; For I want not to be a slave, To Satan and his out reaching. Evil has been lying in wait, For the wicked want to destroy; But Your evidence seals my fate, That I will righteously deploy. I have seen ending perfection, But Your doctrine is transcending; As it is giving direction, Because it is never ending. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
