Poetic Verses

Memories of my family

Memory of Maria

First born you would be
Little girl blessed to me
Apple of your grandma's eye
Mischief maker sneaking pie
Sugar and spice and stubborn too
All the things that make up you

Memory of Anna

At four years old you could read
For a child that's quite a deed
Little child by my side
First to hop in to take a ride
Holding hands when we'd walk
Always wanting to sit and talk
Watching all your your mother would do
Wanting to be a mother too

Memory of Sara

As an infant with cherubic face
Personality wise a different case
Cries for mom at play group's door
Throwing your cup daily on the floor
Among the gifts you were endowed
Smiles and giggles and being loud

Memory of Andrea

I can't believe you're so grown
Babysitting times sure have flown
From grocery cart naps at the store
To rides to school and much more
Remember decorating with me
You decorated Jake instead of the tree

Memory of Sean

In my car is a memory place
We spent some time in that space
Pick up here and drop off there
Back and forth without a care
Do you remember the video we made
Of the drop off line parade

Memory of Jake

Morning pick ups in my car
The route we'd take wasn't far
You'd tell me about your friends at school
And all the games you thought were cool
For a Christmas memory
You were decorated as a tree

Memory of Amber

The school bus wasn't your favorite place
To get you outside was quite the race
To pick an outfit and pull on socks
All while watching time on the clocks
We'd rush to the bus and wave goodbye
And as it drove off I'd give a sigh
But soon enough it was after 3
You'd hop off the bus and run to me

Memory of Allana

Tiptoe quiet grandma comes in
Morning routine to begin
Unicorns and kitty cat ears
Sharing toys without tears
Movies and legos and coloring books
In the toy kitchen pretend to be cooks
A world of wonder every day
Learning and growing as you play

Memory of Jax

Games and stories and TV shows
Breakfast and lunch on the go
A fluffy kitty and cozy place
A soft blanket and sleepy face
Finally quiet as a mouse
Times to remember at grandmas house

Memory of Frank

I will remember your wedding day
Though pictures are few, memories stay
Your story begins years before
With laughter and tears and kids and more
To show your love don't be afraid
Cherish the family you have made

Memory of Chase

A long time ago I met Chase
I will always remember his face
He looks like his Dad to the max
And he also resembles his brother Jax

Memory of Nick

Some conversations we have had
From the silly to the sad
In our rides as short they'd be
You and Ben are like family
Apple of my Sara's eye
Very proper and sweet guy

Memory of Diego

We have only met one time
So scarce are memories for this rhyme
I saw you again cleaning the spot
While Andrea videos, you try to blot
