WHY
does the size of words matter? yesterday I called the sky-- BIG (so BIG it stole all that surrounded it) what there was within it was rendered, small, the infinite swallowing the infintiscimile children have their own kind of poetry with metaphors like crayons and sidewalk chalk to define how they feel and see so, today to the child in me-- the sky is simply BIG. my little word, then, strives to compare the infinite my slice of universe made up of changeable clouds that steer themselves and grasp and ride on ferris wheels of air. its so endless this lovely bigness up there. on this blue-sky day which matches my eyes there can be no bigger sky no better light other than this ONE above that my little-ness embraces and is so glad to see. remembering yesterday and its colors...1/8/2021 in celebrating day number two of his birthday-days LEGAL COPYRIGHT FOR THIS POEM 1/9/2021 5:49AM PST AND ALSO FOR THIS WRITER/POET MELISSA A.
