Your Word is a lamp to my feet.
Also a light unto my path;
Glory shines on those that I meet,
That is avoiding me the wrath.
I have sworn an oath to confirm,
For keeping Your righteous precepts;
To remain true for the long-term,
Following doctrine and concepts.
I am severely afflicted,
Having to endure all the strife;
Your Word I have been addicted,
In which has been given me life.
Accept my offerings of praise,
And teach me Your judgments O Lord;
So I can follow all my days,
Help me to stay in one accord.
My soul is always in Your hand,
Yet I do not forget Your Law;
As I remember each command,
That keeps me from getting a flaw.
For the wicked have laid a snare,
But I err not from Your teaching;
Even though they might try a dare,
But I do trust to Your preaching.
Your witness is my heritage,
For it is a joy of my heart;
In which gives You an advantage,
That is giving me a fresh start.
I lean my heart towards Your statutes,
Perform Your statutes forever;
Allowing my faith grow deep roots,
To the end that will not sever.
