Military Manoeuvres

When did you last make love, she'd asked
Of the uniformed Major standing there
Nineteen fifty one he'd  replied.
She'd  regarded him with a stare..
Just twenty  minutes later
She looked at him in awe
As she picked  up her clothes
Scattered  across the floor.
You've not forgotten  a thing
She said, between  then and now.
I don't see how I could, he replied ,
It's only twenty forty now.
