 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Cursed is the man who trusts in man,
Whose heart turns away from the Lord;
And deviating from His plan,
For he has totally ignored.

This man is like the tumbleweed,
And like a shrub in the desert;
On the rocks who is like the seed,
Dries up and dies since without dirt.

He shall inhabit parched places,
And uninhabited salt land;
A wilderness without graces,
Where there is only sinking sand.

Bless the man who trusts in the Lord,
Like the seed on a fertile ground;
Proceeds to grow in one accord,
Imparting His Word as found.

It is like a tree by the waters,
That sends out its roots by the stream;
Bearing fruitful sons and daughters,
Nourished by every sunbeam.

It does not fear the summer heat,
Because its leaves will remain green;
And when the harvest is complete,
As the harvesters yield its glean.

It is not anxious for a drought,
For it does not cease bearing fruits;
Knowing the Lord it will not doubt,
Nourishment needed through its roots
