One day suddenly quite out of the blue
The little caterpillar disappears from view,
It stops eating and turns itself upside down
Spinning a cocoon eventually turning brown.
This is the caterpillar's protective casing
But inside of this itself it is totally erasing,
It has to fall apart, decompose and die
So that the butterfly can emerge and fly.
The inner beauty of the caterpillar appears
As the protective casing just disappears,
Such beauty and gentleness from deep within
And its true nature and life can now begin.
