Puzzled

My aged next door neighbour
Of so many many years
Called me on the phone
In a flood of tears.
I've got this new jigsaw
That I just can't seem to do
Maybe I can finish it
With a  little help from you.

It's a picture of a Rooster
It's on the front of the box.
I stood waiting at her door
As she undid the security locks.
A scene of a bit of chaos
Pieces scattered everywhere
Across the surface of a tray
Laid on a table by her chair

I took one long look and
Her problem fell into place
Somehow I to keep the grin
From spreading across my face
No matter how long we try I said
We could labour night and day
We can never do that picture so
Let's  put these  Cornflakes away
