O Lord, I have heard Your speech,
Revive Your work as I revere;
In the midst of the years please teach,
Of Your mercy and how to fear.
You came down from another place,
The Holy One from the mountain;
The splendor of mercy and grace,
Flows from an eternal fountain.
For Your brightness is like a light,
As the light rays flash from Your hand;
And You unveiled power and might,
Spoken through every command.
Before that came the pestilence,
As the plague followed on its heels;
That was spurring the violence,
From many corrupted ordeals.
You had stood and measured the earth,
As You looked and shook the nation;
Eternal mountains scattered worth,
Stable hills lost elevation.
You are the everlasting way,
The land trembles with affliction;
So many that have gone astray,
Have acquired an addiction.
Was Your wrath against the rivers,
Was Your anger against the streams;
Thundering horses cause shivers,
Salvation comes within my dreams.
You stripped the sheath off of Your bow,
As rivers split contours of land;
With making the vegetation grow,
The shorelines have been laced with sand.
The mountains saw You and trembled,
Raging waters swept over land;
As the people had assembled,
Pleading for merciful command.
The sun and moon stood in their place,
Seeing how Your arrows have sped;
As the people asked for Your grace,
Calls for mercy the year ahead.
