As a prisoner for the Lord,
Walk in a manner as worthy;
With remaining in one accord,
Taking steps that are not earthy.
Worthy of the calling as called,
A lowliness and gentleness;
Having a love that is unflawed,
A vocation of humbleness.
The meekness of longsuffering,
Forbearing each other in love;
Unity through endeavoring,
With blessings flowing from above.
His Spirit in the bond of peace,
With one body and one Spirit;
An eagerness that will not cease,
Within all of our merit.
Just as being called to one hope,
That is belonging to your call;
We are still continuing to cope,
Whatever evil might befall.
Baptism and faith in one Lord,
As one God and Father of all;
Believed who is loved and adored,
Willing to answer our call.
Grace was given to each of us,
As measured of the gift of Christ;
Being children of God as thus,
Continuing to be enticed.
When He ascended up on high,
He had led a host of captives;
Giving gifts that fall from the sky,
While living as fugitives.
