Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And bless His holy name;
All within for His goal,
Blessings as I proclaim.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
Think of His benefits;
Leaving Him in control,
For all one inherits.
He heals all your disease,
Forgives iniquities;
Answering your pleas,
Strengthen abilities.
The Lord redeems your life,
Crowns you with steadfast love;
Gives mercy for your strife,
As blessings flow thereof.
Like an eagle renewed,
Satisfied from your youth;
Perceived that is construed,
Knowing what is the truth.
The Lord works righteousness,
Justice to the oppressed;
Pardon who will confess,
Mercy who have been blest.
He has made known the ways,
For the Lord is gracious;
Merciful on who strays,
For being sagacious.
He will not always chide,
Nor to keep His anger;
As long as you abide,
And you do not languor.
Fathers show compassion,
To children who revere;
He pities in fashion,
Who show respect and fear.
