HIS ROD AND STAFF - THEY COMFORT ME

A sturdy cane - can help 
Us keep our balance - when the 
Road is uphill and untrod - as a comfort
In its strength - and steadiness - to
Keep us going forward - as if it is
Upholding us - by the very
Hand of God .



As are His words - for
All occasions - when we need
Assurance - He is near -  such as - 
I will never leave you - nor 
Forsake you - and you 
Have no need 
To fear .


And His rod can
Be for our correction - when
We travel the wrong way - that will
Guide us back from danger and
Destruction - as He leads us 
On - and teaches us -
Each day .


And - when the enemy 
Is prowling round to harm us - or
Catch us unawares - God  will weild
His rod in our defence - and our
Protection -  from the
Devil's snares . 


Yes - for every time and 
Every Season - that we go through -
God has a word - to comfort us each day
As we journey on - knowing He is 
For us - and is with us - as
We trust Him - all
The way .



Such is the love and
Care of our Good Shepherd - who 
Loves us more than we can know - and
Whose rod and staff - will  be our 
Comfort - as we follow in His
Footsteps - in the valleys
Here below .

Dear Lord Jesus .. I am so thankful that You 
love us so much , and You are watching over
us and taking care of us when we go astray .

You truly are the Good Shepherd who takes
good care of Your sheep . Forgive us when 
we wander away from You and go our own 
way .

Thank You for Your rod and staff that comforts
us , and helps us to know you are near us at
all times.

We are forever grateful that we belong to You .
