CELESTIAL ETERNITY

Relationship With Jesus Christ

Relationship With Jesus Christ
Author: Mark V. Markov

One is saved
By having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Part of that relationship
Is obedience to Him
Out of free will.

Because obedience
Out of love
Is part of
Relationship with Jesus Christ

The One who believes and accepts
Jesus Christ as Savior
Is under grace
Yet that doesn't mean
Since you are under grace

That now  with your free will
You can disobey Christ
Because Jesus Christ says

If you love me
Then you will obey
My commandments
And as John the beloved disciple of Jesus Christ says
They are not burdensome

They are to love God with all heart, soul, and mind
To live by the principles of the word of God
And to love others as oneself.

If you are in need
Would you help yourself if you were able,
Of course you would.

Well that is where the verse
Comes in
The verse that says
We were created for good works

We are not saved by good works
We are saved by grace
Through a relationship with Jesus Christ

Yet if He says
You need to be baptized
Then if able
Out of love and obedience
The believer needs to obey the instruction
And get baptized

But it doesn't end there
The believer still must maintain a relationship with Jesus Christ
So it doesn't mean
You got baptized and that's it.

A believer still needs
To remain
In the relationship with Jesus Christ
All their life

The good works are the fruit
Of our relationship with Jesus Christ
As we live
By the principles of the word of God
We become more blessed in life

And as we love others as ourself
Helping them if we are able
We show the love of God
The love of God in us,
To those in need.

As Jesus Christ said
With your good works
You glorify your Heavenly Father
Who is in heaven
So grace and good works
Go hand in hand

If we believe in only grace
Then we start damaging our relationship with Jesus Christ
By not obeying out of love
The commandment
To love others as ourself

When it comes to grace,
If we fall
We can stand up again
Because of the grace of God
As the verse says
If we confess to Him our sins
He is faithful and just to forgive us
Our sins
And to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
So when we fall
We need to get up again
And try our best
Out of free will
To do right
And obey the Lord Jesus Christ
In our relationship with Him

Please always remember
Grace and good works
Are forever together
In the Holy Scripture

I will always repeat
Don't let the phrase
Good works don't save you
Don't let that phrase to discourage you
From doing good to others

Because loving others as yourself
Is commanded by Jesus Christ
And emphasized
That if you love Him
Than you will obey His commandments

To love God with all heart, soul, and mind.
And to love others as oneself
To help others, if able.
To show the love of God to them,
The love of God that is in us...

Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

1 John 5:2-4 (ESV)

2 By this we know that we love the children of God,
when we love God and obey his commandments.

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments.
And his commandments are not burdensome.

4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.
And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith.

John 14:21-24 (ESV)

21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him."

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?"

23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.

1 John 1:9 (ESV)

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
