STANDING ON EVEN GROUND

I was born, Harold Edmund Godwinson III on 23rd, September 1981 to Mr. Harold Edmund Godwinson II, the son of a Scottish Missionary named Harold Edmund Godwinson I, who served in the Church of Scotland in Calabar, Nigeria from 1895. The story of my birth is one I am not quite pleased with although it is true that no human is born into humanity by their own volition. My grandfather, Harold Edmund Godwinson I had adopted the African or Efik name Mr. Ekanem Ekanem Effiong. His son, my father would adopt the name Mr. Ekanem Ekanem Okon Effiong. As I speak both are late. The story has it that my father, Harold Edmund Godwinson II or Mr. Ekanem Ekanem Okon Effiong, was married to one Mrs. Regina Effiong who is still alive, and retains the status of wife to the said Harold Edmund Godwinson II or Mr. Ekanem Ekanem Okon Effiong who died when I was six. From age zero I found myself among three other children whom I referred to as my brother and sisters. It is painful because no one told me after thirty-nine years, up till recently, I was not Mrs. Regina Effiong's son. I was actually brought into the household as a stranger and intruder with attendant treatment: hatred, dislike and various abuses as a child gotten from outside wedlock by the said Harold Edmund Godwinson II or Mr Ekanem Ekanem Okon Effiong from a sixteen (16) year old Igbo girl in 1981 without my knowledge up till recently, with the painful aspect that Mrs. Regina Effiong and her children and "in-laws" have variously hurt, vexed and attempted, especially with the tool of medical treatment to destroy me. As I speak, the said Mrs. Regina Effiong, who has refused to disclose my mother's identity whom I found through my own painstaking research to be Mrs. Tina Obi, the wife of one Pastor Sunday Obi domiciled in Calabar, Nigeria and presently running a ministry called GOD'S ARENA OF LIBERTY, after forging a certicate of birth at the HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL, IKOM in Cross River State of Nigeria, where I was born, bearing the details that I was her son and birthed on 24th September 1981, thus fuelling a major identity crisis, and her children, have incessantly been a thorn on my flesh.

I submit wholeheartedly here that I don't know the said Regina Effiong, her Children, Ekanem Ekanem Effiong, Ekpoanwan Ekanem Effiong or Ekpoanwan Bright Sunday Ogidefa, and Inyang Ekanem Effiong or Inyang Bassey, as I found I am Harold Edmund Godwinson II or Mr Ekanem Ekanem Okon Effiong's only heir, and his "acclaimed" brothers and sisters, whom I found are not, and whom all, have persistently been a thorn to my flesh, even nearly to points of death, are not in any way my relatives. But that they have used the tool of conspiracy to torment, subjugate and control, with proven intents of eliminating me in a bid to gain control of the landed properties of the said Harold Edmund Godwinson I and II at Obot Esu village in Ito, in Idere Clan of Odukpani Local Government Area of the Cross River State of Nigeria and Ika in Anang in the Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria. My father, the said Harold Edmund Godwinson II, died in 1987 when I was six.

The case has been forwarded to the Obong of Calabar, the primary monarch of the Efiks in Calabar, Nigeria, the State High Court in Calabar Nigeria and the International Court of Justice in the Hague, the Netherlands and pending hearing.
