O Lord, you know, remember me,
Take vengeance on my persecutors;
Assist me so that I can flee,
From all the robbers and looters.
In Your patience take me not out,
That for Your sake I bear reproach;
Because I will never have doubt,
That you block someone to encroach.
Your words I had found, and I ate,
Your Word has given me a joy;
Delight in my heart You create,
A gladness that I can deploy.
For I have been called by Your name,
And I avoid the revelers;
I sit alone as I proclaim,
While hearing all the grumblers.
For Your hand has been upon me,
Filling me with indignation;
Because of injustice I see,
But I refuse resignation.
Why is my pain so unceasing,
My wound refusing to be healed;
I sense of nothing as pleasing,
Feeling no pleasure to yield.
Will You never be a liar,
Never like the waters that fail;
Rather the eternal fire,
So that Your Word always prevail.
