 ramblings and things

Not quite Mr Average Citizen
Leading an average life
With his 2.4 grown children
And his new trophy wife,
The man who pulls the strings
Arrives by chauffeured limousine
Behind darkly tinted windows
To ensure he can’t be seen.
Escorted by security, he enters
Through his executive door,
Takes the high speed lift to
His Penthouse office floor.
There, in just three hours,
This worthy string puller can
Earn more than a years wages
For the average working man.
A donor and philanthropist
To many a worthy cause,
For sound financial reasons
Domiciled on foreign shores.
He always travels Business,
Because as he once said
Global Warming’s not his problem
By then he’ll be long dead
Without prejudice or bias
This man pulls the strings
To Speculates on the markets,
Bonds and shares and things
And with the push of a button
Can cause chaos and stress
But done in such a way that
He always profits from the mess.
Financial empires may fall as,
Largely unknown and unseen,
The man who pulled the strings is
Chauffeured home in his limousine.
The world could collapse about him
But he wouldn’t really care
So long as it was tax deductible,
Just your average billionaire.
