The Backyard Of My Life

Lonely Waterfalls Washing Over Me

For all the heart felt long goodbyes
When tears sparkle in her eyes
Cast away and swallowed in the sea
As lonely waterfalls are washing over me
One step closer two steps back
Clouds fold the sky begins to crack
Running in and out of time
Is passion in love such a crime?

For every sudden sad farewell
When you cant ring that broken liberty bell
Drift away and pretend that you are free
While dirty driving raindrops fall down over me
You give an inch but you take a mile
Say what you mean make it worth my while
Scorpio rising like a burning flame
If you know where you going you don't know the way you came

Trying to catch lightning in a bottle
To photograph what the eye cant see
Still speeding down the highway at full throttle
Dreaming the dream your dreaming of me

For all the lost whispered lullaby's
The day will only end when the night dies
Slide away and be everything you can be
Ultra violet lights crashing in and out of me
The higher you fly the further you fall
Write your number on my wall
Crying like a fire in the sun
Like a stranger after midnight carrying a gun

For every last chance hanging by a thread
My tongue is tied with words i should of said
Fade away standing at the door without a key
As lonely waterfalls where washing over me
Whatever i lose there is something i gain
Everything beautiful comes with some form of pain
Its as long as it is wide
There is nowhere to run nowhere to hide
