Happy Birthday Declan you are 9 today
From being 8 you have come a long way,
You`ve been in lockdown, self-isolation too
Then you got Covid it never missed you.
You weren`t well but you're a tough little boy
Your determination to get better it didn`t destroy,
You weren`t alone you were supported right through
As Bradley, Charlie and your Mum all had Covid too.
You`ll not forget this year in a hurry no way
This will live with you for many a long day,
You will talk about this for many years to come
Remembering you were so lucky unlike some.
You`re just a young boy who wants to have fun
Who wants to go outside and play in the sun,
This milestone in your childhood you`ll not forget
But you will not let it spoil your birthday I can bet.
Declan I want to tell you you`re a special little boy
You`re comical and loving and bring me such joy,
When you grow up I say a comedian you will be
If not then it will be something to do with technology.
