I have to continue boasting,
Though there is nothing to be gained;
On the Lord that I am hosting,
That the Holy Scriptures proclaimed.
I know of a man who is in Christ,
Such an one caught up to Heaven;
Who was spiritually enticed,
Whether in or out God given.
For he was caught in paradise,
God knows whether they are in or out;
Resulting from the given advise.
That is lawful and cannot doubt.
On behalf of this man I boast,
But as for myself I will not;
For weaknesses that I may host,
I plead in prayer for what I sought.
Although if I should wish to boast,
I am not considered a fool;
As watched by the Holy Ghost,
For not breaking of any rule.
It keeps becoming conceited,
For surpassing revelation;
So that I am not defeated,
In my quest for my salvation.
All the times I plead with the Lord,
That He would not ever leave me;
And I will never be ignored,
Seeing I follow His decree.
His grace is sufficient for me,
A perfect strength for my weakness;
Giving me the insight to see,
Cheerfulness over the bleakness.
So for the sake of Jesus Christ,
I take pleasure in reproaches;
Knowing what He had sacrificed,
Assured as darkness encroaches.
