You were estranged and hostile,
While thinking of evil deeds;
No thoughts that God did reconcile,
While catering to your needs.
Reconciled of flesh by death,
For to be holy and blameless;
Unreproved after your last breath,
That He made you being shameless.
Continue your faith as steadfast,
In the Gospel not shifting hope;
It continues to ever last,
Persevering that helps you cope.
I rejoice in my suffering,
Within my body for your sake;
Because Christ is my buffering,
For the afflictions others make.
I became a steward for God,
A stewardship God made for you;
For the Word to honor and laud,
A proclamation what is true.
The mystery hid for ages,
Generations but now revealed;
That death cannot be your wages,
Once your iniquities are healed.
To them that God chose to make known,
The wealth of glory from Heaven;
Inherited when you atone,
Of His blessings that are given.
For I proclaim to warn each one,
Teach everyone the wisdom;
As how perfect is Christ the Son,
And how we get to His Kingdom.
For this I toil and attempt,
Striving all of His energy;
Not trying to be in contempt,
Working powerfully in me.
