 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Recall the former days,
When after enlightened;
Struggled as one strays,
Caused you to be frightened.

Sometimes being exposed,
Reproach and affliction;
Things that were opposed,
Of sinful addiction.

Sometimes those so treated,
For you had compassion;
But not felt defeated,
In being old fashion.

You joyfully accept,
Plundering property;
Because of the concept,
Was an iniquity.

Discard not confidence,
Which has a great reward;
For that is your defense,
In fighting for the Lord.

For you have the patience,
The will of God be done;
Giving you endurance,
As promised by the Son.

Yet a little while,
He comes without delay;
Through the cloud in style,
For those who do obey.

But by faith we shall live,
My soul has no pleasure;
Unless God will forgive,
For a righteous treasure.

But we do not shrink back,
Rather a faith for the soul;
Believing not to lack,
Having Christ in control.
