Has God rejected His people?
I am a member of His tribe;
Continue to preach the Gospel,
Unto His Word I still prescribe.
His people God not rejected,
Do you not know of the Scripture;
How He invoke the afflicted,
For becoming a new creature.
Because they have killed His prophets,
And have demolished His altars;
I am alone like a puppet,
Seeking life amongst abductors.
God has kept seven thousand men,
Who has does bow down on their knee;
That He has spoken unto when,
As they were hearing His decree.
There is a remnant at this time,
That has been chosen by His grace;
Granting the election to climb,
Upward and away from this place.
If it is by grace based on deeds,
Grace would no longer have to be;
Because God knows about the needs,
That helps us what we hear and see.
For Israel failed to obtain,
What exactly it was seeking;
Hardened hearts could never retain,
Listening as God was speaking.
God gave the spirit of stupor,
For blind an eye and a deaf ear;
Unable to spot a blooper,
And exactly what they should hear.
Let their table become a snare,
A trap or as a stumbling block;
Retribution for those who dare,
For closing the door and to lock.
Let their eyes darken not to see,
And bending their backs forever;
Shackle them never to be free,
With the chains that will not sever.
