A Handsome One

A handsome one,
Too good to be true,
Made his vows
Before he knew.
He was chaste
Then he was caught;
His vows of celibacy
Came to naught.

She was skilled,
He at first so unwilling
But he found her touch
Oh so thrilling.
Now he travels the world
Passing to and fro
Living his life
As a gigolo.

As for those vows
He didn't renew
The decision being made
 Before he really knew
About life's joys
And life's pleasures
The which inspired
His countermeasures.

From town to town
And bed to bed
Until this thought
Came to his head,
That it was time
To settle down
So he returned
To his home town.

There he met a girl
And this time now
He was serious when
He made his vow
So very happy
With his new wife
Lessons learned
From his past life

It's  that old joke
About  the sole of a shoe
So thin even a politician
Could see through
Or the camel
And the needle's eye
But in truth before he fell
He really did try and try.
