Poetic-Verses

'' Guardian Angels Do Exist ''

We grew together as best of friends,
A special friendship that never ends,
We'd both go out, as one, together,
Go at life, hell for leather.

As we grew up, we played as one,
I'd wonder why, he called me son,
If I made money, I'd offer half,
I don't need cash, made me laugh,

All we had, we always shared,
When I'd get hurt, he showed he cared,
As we got older, we stayed in touch,
We really did, care that much.

I then married and moved away,
I never thought, that he would stay,
I didn't think, that he would follow,
The truth would be so hard to swallow.

Why was this, was there a reason,
He was there, throughout every season,
If I faced trouble, he'd appear,
Don't fret he'd say, no need for fear.

He kept me late for work one day,
I travelled to work another way,
In anger I said, I hope he stews,
Then I turned on the local news.

There'd been a crash on my usual road,
A truck had shed a heavy load,
I thought, my god, that could have been me,
Just at that I began to see.

That every time that I faced harm,
I never felt any alarm,
It was then I asked, please tell me why,
He replied, I stay nearby.

I then seen him in a different light,
As he said to me, it is only right,
That you have me, to look after you,
To let you do the things you do.

I'm here to watch you live out your life,
As well as your children and your wife,
So, live your life as a decent man,
Always help others, whenever you can,

You'll all live to a ripe old age,
If you abide, by life's good gauge,
When you're in trouble, I'll be found,
The advice I give you, will be sound.

At that point I shed a tear,
As it all became crystal clear,
All around, they're in our midst,
