I thank God whom I serve, As did my ancestors; A conscience to observe, No other protectors. As I remember you, In my prayers night and day; That you have remained true, As you trust and obey. I remember your tears, While longing to see; That God will calm your fears, Joy filled by His decree. Your faith has been sincere, A faith that dwells within; While keeping Christ near, Helping your discipline. I remind you to fan, Fanning flames of your gift; To proclaim of His plan, Impressing to uplift. God laid His hands on you, To give you His Spirit; Power and love as true, Sound mind through your merit. Copyright © 2021 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
